Cook – Hourly Contract

Location: King Eddy Live Music Limited, Calgary


Reporting to: Chef


King Eddy Live Music Limited (KELM) is currently seeking cooks to join our team for our busy upcoming summer season.  Built in 1905, “The Eddy” has a long standing tradition in offering guests exceptional experiences through offering high quality local products and exceptional live music.  We are looking for high-energy, passionate individuals to join our team.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to the recipes and standards
  • Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
  • Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
  • Ensuring quality and freshness to all food items being prepped
  • Following all standards set in place by Chef
  • Adhere to and follow all Health and Safety Protocols
  • Flexibility to work at anytime
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Minimum of 1 year culinary experience
  • Certificate or diploma from a recognized culinary school an asset
  • Safe food handling certification
  • Creative and passionate about food and customer service
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – team player a must
  • Previous experience as a kitchen aid, fast food or cook
  • Able to lift, carry and pull up to 50 lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
  • Able to withstand exposure to kitchen equipment
