Father Moon with Chaosbeing and Rainbow Patrol
Incoming! Metal makes its debut at the Eddy with a mix of local and original metal from Father Moon, ChaosBeing, and Rainbow Patrol.
Father Moon hit the scene in the spring of 2018, and since then have spent most of their time in the studio cultivating their sonic identity. With slow and sludgy riffs, dark and heavy tones, including the use of heavily affected and operatic vocals, Father Moon evokes a unique musical experience.
ChaosBeing was unleashed onstage May 2016 and came crashing forward with technical riffs, aggressive drums, melodic harmonies and wicked hooks. Immediately they established themselves as a force to reckon with in the community of original metal bands from Calgary, Canada. ChaosBeing’s sound is best described as new age technical metal mixed with classic thrash. It is a well-orchestrated blend of melody and monstrosity.
If you were a wayfaring alien landing on a new planet, you’d probably be pretty cheesed to open your cockpit and see nothing but dry, sprawling desert, right? Rainbow Patrol captures that relatable feeling and packages it in a slick, fuzzy psych rock sound bound to give you the “when the riff comes back but slower” stank face.
