King Eddy Kicks off Stampede 2019 with Hot Live Tunes from July 5-14

The King Eddy will host 10 days of sizzling hot live tunes from July 5-14 during Stampede week. The week’s lineup will feature a slew of acts across a range of genres on a historic stage just 600 metres from Stampede Park.

Country 105 will present rising country-pop star Kalsey Kulyk, alt-country four-piece Johnson Crook, roots-raconteur Mariel Buckley, award-winning country singer-songwriter Drew Gregory, and more.

But it’s not just western-style acts that will hit the King Eddy stage. The week will also include late-night sets from recently reformed Calgary indie-rock titans Hot Little Rocket, hip hop songstress Sinzere, fuzzed-out blues-rock unit A Day As Wolves, surf-rockers The 427’s, and much, much more.

“If you didn’t get your hands on tickets to Hot Little Rocket’s sold out reunion show in May, Stampede at the King Eddy is your next big chance,” said Jynnifer Gibson, the King Eddy’s General Manager. “This lineup feeds a range of musical appetites from country to rock to hip hop, and we’ll be going day and night for all 10 days of Stampede. If you’re looking for a break from the midway or want to keep the Stampede party going after the fireworks, we’re just a short walk away from Stampede Park.”

The Matt Masters Duo will kick-start the week with a Parade Day Breakfast at the King Eddy on July 5 at 9:00 am, and genre-confused party band The Polyjesters will bring some daytime-to-dusk fun to Happy Hour from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm daily.

In addition to a stellar roster of local and out-of-town touring acts, the King Eddy’s kitchen will be serving up its soul food-inspired menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Custom cocktails and craft brews will also be on tap to fuel up concert-goers.

Stampede at the King Eddy will run daily from July 5-14, 11:00 am to 2:00 am. A cover will be in place after 8:00 pm until close. Evening headliner shows will begin at 9:00 pm with a range of ticket prices, and late-night sets will begin at 11:30 pm with a $10 cover in effect. Please note that some shows will have a handful of tickets available online until 30 minutes before showtime until sold out.

Advance tickets for select shows are on sale now with another 30 acts to be announced in the coming weeks. Get your tickets now here.
