The King Eddy will be transforming its rooftop into a backyard BBQ and games oasis right in time for the summer.
Starting on Sunday, June 11, head to the Eddy’s roof for BBQ favourites, local craft beer, and an assortment of backyard BBQ games (from ping-pong and foosball to Jenga, cornhole, and more) and, of course, music and a fun rooftop vibe! To whet your whistle, every week will feature a different tap takeover by a local brewery, starting with Tool Shed Brewing (June 11) and Wild Rose Brewery (June 18).
“We’re laying out the AstroTurf, setting up a selection of party games, and firing up the grill, so our guests can enjoy some fun in the sun,” said Ryan McLeish, the King Eddy’s General Manager.
The King Eddy Rooftop BBQ Party series will run June 11 to July 2, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Then the series will take a brief hiatus during the Calgary Stampede and return from July 23 to September 10.
For the brunch crowd, Songsmith Sundays with Carter Felker will continue on the main floor, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. After brunch hours, the main floor will close, and the rooftop cookout will commence every Sunday.
As McLeish adds, “Every Sunday, we’re seeing more and more families come out for our Sunday brunch with newly updated items, and we hope to see more people come out with their kids for the King Eddy Rooftop BBQ Party series. Before 6:00 pm is all-ages on the main floor and rooftop.”
