About Liz Christensen:

Liz Christensen is an Alberta-based pop/country artist. She has been nominated for “Pop Recording of the Year” and “Songwriter of the Year” the 2024 YYC Music Awards. Liz is inspired by the sounds of Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, and Taylor Swift.

Her debut EP, “Oopsie Daisy” (released October 2024), captures the ups and downs of her mid-twenties. The title track, co-written with Hannah Gazso, is a heartfelt love song that Liz describes as “so sweet” and full of the whirlwind emotions of falling in love for the first time.

Beyond her solo work, Liz has contributed to The Blue Jay Sessions projects, lending her voice to covers of classics like “The Best” (2022) and “Both Sides Now” (2020). In 2018, she won 96.5 CKFM’s Star Search in her hometown of Olds, AB, marking an early milestone in her career.

Her songwriting collaborations with Red River Métis artist Brandi Vezina include tracks like “Gasoline” (2022), “Dodged a Bullet” (2023) and “Next Time I Love” (2025), which have all enjoyed national airplay on SiriusXM.

Some notable 2025 performances include The Blue Jay Sessions and the Red Carpet Stage at the Country Music Alberta Awards. Liz also frequently performs at The King Eddy, as well as part of the Calgary International Airport Music Program.

With her new EP, “Oopsie Daisy”, and performances planned across the country, be sure to keep an eye out for Liz in 2026.
