Copperhead with Lucas Chaisson

Welcome the new faces of folk to the Eddy! Explore deep, dark soundscapes with Copperhead with the soulful roots vocals of opener Lucas Chaisson.
About Copperhead:
Copperhead makes folk music for the 21st century, born not in the bucolic countryside but in downtown alleyways, with punk and acid rock peering around the corners. Lurking around the deliciously dark intersection of lo-fi, post-industrial noise, R&B and minor-key murder ballads, Copperhead immerses audiences in ambient, expansive soundscapes with texture and reverb.

Copperhead is Liz Stevens on lead vox and songwriting, Kirill Telichev as lead guitarist/producer, Kane Bender on drums, Rob Smeltzer on bass, and Jamey Lougheed on baritone sax.
About Lucas Chaisson:
Lucas Chaisson is a CFMA winning singer-songwriter from Cochrane, AB. His soulful voice and insightful lyrics are helping the young songsmith make a splash in the Canadian music scene.
Since his self-produced debut “No Loitering” (2010), Chaisson has become one of the brightest young stars in the Canadian roots music scene. His sophomore effort “Growing Pains” (2012) earned him the title “Young Performer of the Year” at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. The strong songwriting showcased on his recordings, and his ability to make an emotional connection with his audience has garnered him the opportunity to play high profile venues such as the Edmonton, Calgary, Canmore, Vancouver Island and Winnipeg Folk Festivals.
