Corinthian with Carbolizer and Wish Lash

Dark, immersive soundscapes with ambient synths and heartbeat rhythms. Catch experimental electronic artist Corinthian’s Western Canadian Tour in Calgary with Carbolizer and Wish Lash.

About Corinthian
Corinthian aka Evangelos is the head of Deep Sea Mining Syndicate an experimental electronic label based out of Calgary. In 2018 Evangelos took a brief hiatus, retired from his 7 year DJ residency of the 80’s and 90’s hiphop night Natural Selection at Broken City, and has shifted his creative focus to dark uplifting punk electronics. Following a residency at Calgary’s National Music Centre, Evangelos released his sophomore album as Corinthian with pianist Mark Limacher on Oct 5th 2018. Music from the album was featured in Sara Jean Hughes’ short Film Trop which toured successfully on indie/feminist film circuits in 2018. 2019 marks the start of a new era for Corinthian with a slew of new collaborations, releases, and a Western Canadian tour booked in the early spring with fellow Calgary outsider electronic acts Wish Lash and Carbolizer.

About Wish Lash
Wish Lash is a Canadian ambient electronic musician and producer from Calgary, Alberta. Her compositions entwine ambient, dark leaning techno with layers of live processed atmospheric vocals, punctuating experimental noise with rhythmic beats. Alongside this apocalyptic ambience lies an undercurrent of energy, held together by layered synths, heartbeat drums and otherworldly voices.

About Carbolizer
Combining elements of experimental, ambient, industrial, and art rock, L. Adam Fox deftly crafts immersive environments for his electronic investigations of mortality, human and artificial intelligence, and other existential subjects. Carbolizer is dark, propulsive, and strangely accessible. Fox recently scored the short film Blood and Bone by Alana Bartol. He has shared stages with artists like Destroyer, Mount Kimbie, Siskiyou, Elevator to Hell, The Sadies, and Wye Oak.
