Juno-nominated country artist Desiree Dorion hits the legendary King Eddy stage on September 7 with special guest Chevy Beaulieu.

About Desiree Dorion:

Desiree Dorion grew up a mile and a half from the grounds of Dauphin Country Fest, one of the biggest outdoor music festivals in Canada. As a little girl she would ride her bike there when the festival wasn’t on, climb up on the stage, and pretend to play to the thousands of fans that come to watch big country music acts. In 2014 her dream of playing the mainstage came true when she shared the stage with The Band Perry.

The JUNO Nominee has had multiple songs chart in the top 100 on the Canadian country music charts (TRAX), along with numerous reach the top spot on the Indigenous Music Countdown. She released her sixth studio album, “That’s How I Know,” (2023) which peaked at #3 on iTunes Canada in its first week of release and has amassed over 375,000 global streams to date. The album was also nominated for Album of the Year at the 2023 Manitoba Country Music Awards.

Desiree’s most recent releases, “Your Last Name,” “Wouldn’t That be Fun,” and “Sometimes I Drink,” each reached the top spot on the Indigenous Music Countdown. “Sometimes I Drink,” which was co-written with Crystal Shawanda, reached the #12 position on the country iTunes charts in its first week of release and stayed in the top 100 on the Canadian country music charts (TRAX) for 16 weeks.

Desiree is a proud member of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation. In June, 2021, she hosted the Achimotak series with the Canadian Country Music Association and is an artist ambassador with the Downie Wenjack Foundation. Desiree has toured coast to coast in Canada and has played as far south as the Gulf of Mexico. She is set to release her seventh studio album, “Remember Your Name” on September 6th, 2024.

About Chevy Beaulieu:

Chevy Beaulieu sings songs about living, loving and having fun. He is a new country artist that was raised on ‘The Hag’ and Outlaw Country Music. New school artist with them old school roots. Now at 26, it is time for him to take on country radio with his new song ‘Ain’t Just in Fairytales’, which is the first of many songs recorded with the incredibly talented Bart Mckay (Brett Kissel). Chevy believes that happy ever after isn’t just in fairy tales. Love is a crazy feeling, sometimes your feelings never change about someone no matter how many times you break up and make up. Her parents did not like him, but they kept seeing each other hoping for that “fairy tale ending”. He wrote this song for the hopeless romantics out there that still believe that someday they too will find their “fairy tale ending”, their “Happy Ever After”. Chevy is a big man with a big heart, wears it on his sleeve and if you want to know more just ask him.
