Family Day at the King Eddy with Matt Masters
This Family Day, we’re making the most of the long weekend with two daytime shows by resident country king Matt Masters!
Alberta country and folk musician Matt Masters has a 19-year history of performance in Calgary. He’s performed internationally (Europe, US, Mexico, Middle East) as well as at many of the major western Canadian music festivals (Calgary Folk Fest, Calgary Stampede, Big Valley Jamboree.)
Matt’s songs are about Alberta and Canada. He has a degree in history from the U of C and has worked with the National Music Centre in researching the history of country and folk music in Alberta.
As a working artist, Matt’s released five albums of original music, worked as a play write, a film and stage actor and as a music director, composer for film and television and he’s worked extensively as a musician/educator for elementary school children.
