Friday Night at the King Eddy: Lyrique with Annie Lux

Rapper Lyrique performs with opener Annie Lux as part of the National Music Centre’s hybrid live music and virtual concert series, Friday Night at the King Eddy, sponsored by Bell.

Lyrique is a Philippines-born, Calgary-based hip hop artist who fuses moody R&B and melodic rap beats. Compared to the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, and Mac Miller, his rhymes offer messages of hardship and hope.

Annie Lux is a Canadian-born Filipina singer-songwriter, actress, model and a self-proclaimed bedroom music-producer. With over four million views on YouTube, she’s been featured on A-Side, the theme song of Disney’s The Next Step. She has also been featured on several Spotify editorial playlists in Southeast Asia.
