About Michela Sheedy:

Unapologetic, raw, soulful, sultry, good ol’ country music. Okotoks born and raised, Michela Sheedy, represents a refreshingly steely edge to the Canadian country music scene.

Michela has graced some of the most esteemed stages both nationally and internationally. She regularly performances at the Calgary Stampede, hitting both the Coca-Cola Stage and Nashville North, and was recently featured at the 2020 Cavendish Beach Music Festival in PEI. Sheedy was chosen as an RBCxMusic First Up Emerging Artist and was titled Notable Life’s Breakout Canadian Musician of the Year in 2018. She is a winner of 96.5 CKFM’s Country Star Search, grand prize winner of the Global Country Star Search and three-time nominee of Country Music Alberta’s Horizon Female Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Fans’ Choice.

After the success of her debut single, I Make Bad Look Good (feat. Clayton Bellamy) in the summer of 2018, she took time to dive deep into her artistic development and songwriting. She participated in Canada’s Music Incubator’s AE West program and spent time in Nashville working with some of the most esteemed writers in America. From this, came her follow-up single, “Lost” that was cowritten with Chris Yurchuck. The song is an elegant reflection of the times that provides listeners with a sense of optimism and hope. This was highly anticipated by fans and followers and is making a lasting impression on her quickly growing audiences.
