About The Haybelles:

Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, The Haybelle’s are the gal-powered offshoot of the beloved Red Hot Hayseeds, blending Western swing and old-time country with smooth harmonies and feminine energy. Formed by four seeds — Dayna Lyn (Day) on guitar and vocals, Rikki J Browne (Rik) on vocals, Sydney Zadravec (Syd) on bass and vocals, and Cathy Billington (Cath) on fiddle and vocals — The Haybelle’s combine their musical roots and long-time friendship to create a sound that’s both classic and confidently their own. The group made their debut during Dollyfest at The Prairie Emporium, Stampede 2024. Whether swinging through a dance-hall favorite or crooning a heartbreak tune, The Haybelle’s charm lies in their balance of sweet lady harms and matching outfits, a reminder that country music can be heartfelt, humorous, and downright silly, all on one stage.
