Homegrown Country with Garrett Gregory

Rockin’ country artist Garrett Gregory hits the King Eddy stage for a free Saturday night Homegrown Country show.

About Garrett Gregory

Garrett Gregory is a breakout country artist with musical prowess and genuine charm. He is the second most famous musical act out of Hanna, AB. He doesn’t yet have a mural on the side of the local arena or curling rink like his fellow Hanna-ians Nickelback, but a man can dream!

Gregory’s rock-infused live performance fuses a tight, high-energy sound with a wildly driven show that will leave you wanting more. Gregory is currently working on his debut album. “I like to call it ‘high adrenaline country,’” he says. “It’s country music with an added rock spin to give it that extra bite.” Tracks include the fun weekend anthem “Taste of Summertime,” “Rockin’ it” about that girl who immediately blows your mind, and the more serious “Save Me,” a ballad about that woman who keeps your life together when you’re broken. The project also includes the single “Leavin’ You” with its mic-drop hook — “you ain’t leavin’ me because, girl, I’m leavin’ you.”

He’s had the honour of directly supporting some amazing artists such as Gord Bamford, Aaron Goodvin, Meghan Patrick, James Barker Band and world-famous hometown band, Nickelback. He’s also crushed it on his own headlining shows at Ponoka Stampede and PrairiePalooza.

When he’s not on stage singing his heart out, or in the studio recording his new music, you can find Garrett volunteering at the local SPCA or singing to his own cats at home. “How can you not love cats? They’re literally the funniest creatures on earth”.

He reached #1 on the Canadian Indie Charts with “Leavin’ You”, a spot he held for two weeks straight. “It was an extreme shock and honor to be among those other amazing artists, but I never thought for one second I’d hit #1”.

But what about that mural in Hanna? “No, no, not a mural,” Garrett jokes, “I want my own building.”
