Honey Deer with S.K. Wellington

Folk-pop duo Honey Deer is joined by local singer-songwriter S.K. Wellington at the Eddy.

About Honey Deer:
Honey Deer is a Calgary-based wife and husband folk-pop duo. In between budgeting, meal planning, and dressing up as their cats for Halloween, they write songs that make them laugh, make them cry, or make them go, “Gawww”. At the end of 2019, the group released their debut single, “Cold, Dark Days”, in English, French, and Spanish. They have already received media coverage and radio play in all three languages. Honey Deer will begin performing live in March of 2020.

About S.K. Wellington:
S.K. Wellington (formerly The Wellington Folk) fits in the “perfect pocket of folk, indie, pop, and rock.” S.K.
Wellington’s anticipated debut EP Where the Earth Meets the Sea, was released September 2018 and was met with great reception from the music community. Weaving stories of freedom, exploration, love with calls to action and reflection, Wellington lyrically allows a listener to follow a narrative while finding themselves in the story. With vocals that are equal parts tender and powerful, catchy melody lines and pulsing rhythm guitar, S.K. Wellington provides a raw, energizing, and authentic performance. You can relate, you can dance, you can sing along. Wellington can be heard on RadioYYC, CBC, CJSW, and X92.9.
