Jamie Warren at the King Eddy

One of the most awarded artists in Canadian country music is coming to the King Eddy! Jamie Warren will perform hits from his legendary career along with his brand new songs.

About Jamie Warren

Jamie Warren is generally regarded as the most awarded independent country artist in Canada (JUNOS, CCMAs and OCMAs). Over the years he has released 62 singles from 9 studio albums, including a Greatest Hits album in 2004.

His interest in music was likely genetic, since his mother sang and played piano and his father played guitar and mandolin. Jamie attended Conestoga College to study Broadcasting, and his goal was to become the youngest general manager of a mid-market radio station, but he emerged instead with a desire to sing for a living.

In 1993, he released Fallen Angel on River North/Mercury Records, which yielded an enduring fan favourite and radio hit “One Step Back”. The success of this record was followed closely and even more impressively by the album Just Not the Same which surrendered several Top Ten singles and led to a handful of JUNO and CCMA nominations in multiple categories including wins for Independent Song of the Year and Independent Male Artist of the Year.

For the last five years, Jamie has been consistently writing with other artists for their projects as well as his own, releasing The Secret to Life (2020). He felt it was time to say something with his own voice and his own words at a time when country music was contemporary yet again.

Jamie’s new single “Gonna Make ‘Ya Wanna” is the fourth song to be released from his next studio album. This will be his 63rd release in total and will be found on his 10th album, scheduled for release in spring 2023.
