Join us at the legendary King Eddy for some boot stompin’ live music this Stampede! Country songstress Julia Vos brings her catchy storytelling to the stage on Saturday, July 5.
About Julia Vos:
Steeped in the tradition of family band Bluegrass and swayed by modern country’s catchy hooks, Julia Vos is one of Alberta’s most compelling emerging voices. Hot on the heels of her most recent and energetic single, “You Can Find Me,” she finds her sun rising quickly over the prairie skies.
Akin to Lainey Wilson and Terri Clark, Vos displays an undeniable poignancy in her approach and exceptional vocal tone. Her songwriting focuses on the stories that matter while her live show has been showcased from festival stages, songwriter rounds, and local honky tonks. She has now shared the stage with greats such as Gord Bamford, Paul Brandt, Tebey, and Dan Davidson. Her performance highlights include the CCMA’s, Boots & Hearts, Big Valley Jamboree, Country Thunder and The Calgary Stampede.
With a handful of catchy, hook-filled numbers, Vos delved deeper with the stunning “Jude” (2023), a gentle offering for parents who’ve lost children or struggled with conception. To deliver such heavy messages with delicacy is no easy feat, but Vos did a remarkable job and further solidified her strength as a songwriter. The song earned her a Community Spirit Award nomination at the Country Music Alberta Awards, along with two other nominations for Songwriter and Female Horizon Artist of the Year.
Newly signed to Stampede Entertainment Inc and with several summer shows on the horizon, Vos will remain busy with new singles and performances slated for 2025, keeping details close for now. Be sure to listen to her latest single “I Only Kiss Cowboys,” set to debut on June 6th, 2025.
