Ken Stead

Singer-songwriter Ken Stead returns to the King Eddy with for a night of roots-infused folk.

About Ken Stead:
Edmonton singer-songwriter Ken Stead has a firm foothold in the Alberta roots community. In 2016, he managed to land a top three finish in the Project WILD – Country Artist Development program, despite making music that is decidedly lacking in country twang. He’s released three albums and played provincial mainstays Edmonton Folk Music Festival, Canmore Folk Music Festival, Big Valley Jamboree, and North Country Fair, as well as rowdier standing room venues like the Calgary Stampede Coke Stage. With a generous demeanor, a delicate wit, and an empathetic understanding of audiences of all shapes, his performances are as honest and captivating as the conviction in his songs.
