Experience the technicolor songwriting of TAYLR at the legendary King Eddy on Friday, August 18. They’ll be joined by Kate Stevens and Emily Slaney to perform songs from their new project, Layla June. R&B artist ZENON will open the show.

About TAYLR

TAYLR is a singer-songwriter based in Moh’kins’tsis (Calgary, Alberta) that has the control and skill of a trained vocalist while maintaining the warmth and fun-loving nature of their inner child. TAYLR is no stranger to self reflection and deep internal exploration that bold, technicolor songwriting is born from.

Taking bits and pieces of R&B, jazz, folk, and indie pop, “the thinking person’s songwriter” succeeds in creating hearty melodic recipes in which you can taste the earnestness in every spoonful.

About Layla June

Layla June is a new folk group comprised of Kate Stevens, Emily Slaney and TAYLR. A new blend of three big voices that have already made big waves in the local and Canadian music scene, Layla June sings together with big heart and a blend that will make you melt. They sing tales of love and heartache that will make you swoon and have you holding on to every lyric. LJ makes music that quenches your thirst like sweet tea on a hot summer’s day.
