Liquor Mountain

Cosmic country locals Liquor Mountain hit the legendary King Eddy stage on August 20.

About Liquor Mountain:

In Liquor Mountain, Danny Vescarelli’s twangy side-project formed in 2014, he embraces the sounds of his youth while paying tribute to the people and places that made him. Vescarelli’s tender, high-pitched voice and jangly electric 12-string are trailed by a lively arrangement of instruments from rambling lead guitarist Steven Rozitis, rock-steady bassist Adam Kamis and veteran drummer Brendan Tincher, and are backed up by gorgeous harmonies that evoke the bluegrass-inflected country-rock of Dillard and Clark. The folkier influences of The Byrds, Neil Young, and New Riders of the Purple Sage have haunted Vescarelli’s previous bands, and while Clint Black’s song “Killin’ Time” is a staple of Liquor Mountain live sets, Vescarelli has never latched onto his childhood love of ’90s pop country like this before.
