About Mallory Chipman
Hailing from Edmonton, award-winning singer-songwriter, Mallory Chipman, has never shied away from making music outside the box. Her genre-bending tendencies, powerful sound, and story-driven songwriting has been described as “some of the finest folk rock currently being made” (Amplify Music Magazine) and has set her apart as “a rising light in Canadian music” (NewTec Radio). No stranger to the road, Mallory has toured internationally, and released five records to her name both as a solo act and with her side project, The Goddamsels, all of which have seen noteworthy Canadian radio charting and have led her to tour throughout Canada, Europe, and Japan. Chipman’s signature sound has garnered comparison to artists like Feist and Hozier, and her highly anticipated forthcoming album, Songs To A Wild God, will be out in 2024. Alongside her performance work, Mallory is an esteemed songwriter and producer. In 2023 she was named the Edmonton Public Library’s inaugural Musician in Residence, and celebrated as part of the Top 40 Under 40 class of 2023 from Edify Magazine.
About Kate Stevens
One of Calgary’s finest vocalists and songwriters, Kate Stevens, uses her songs to be unapologetic and her best self. Together with her band Kate has established an emotive soul and R&B sound riddled with jazz harmonies that causes listeners to get lost in the highs and lows of relationships in the 21st century. Kate’s storytelling abilities and sultry voice are capable of single-handedly transporting listeners to the moment where they first make eye contact with a potential significant other, and evoking the emotions that cause your palms to sweat and your heart race. Kate has been able to make the most of her opportunities locally, winning numerous awards for her songwriting, and performances at venues such as the National Music Centre, and the Calgary Folk Music Festival. Currently, she uses her platforms as a performer and radio host CKUA to empower and mentor other upcoming musicians locally and across the radio airwaves.
About Madi Allen
Calgary’s own Madi Allen is a truly passionate singer and performer, captivating audiences with her talent and undeniable stage presence. While either performing her original tunes, and other people’s requests, her music promotes connection. With a versatile voice that transcends genres, she effortlessly navigates the realms of both pop and jazz, accommodating any audience. Madi’s skillful execution and emotional depth shine through every note she sings. Her passion for connecting with her audience is what allows her to showcase her talent comfortably and personably. Because of her work as a music therapist, and her position at dueling piano bars, Madi possesses a vast cover repertoire, as well as her own original repertoire. Whether she’s singing her own tunes or beloved classics, Madi inherently understands the deep connection that people have with certain melodies and lyrics. Channelling the collective emotions and experiences that these songs encapsulate, she infuses her performances with authenticity and raw emotion.
