Join pop-fuelled R&B artist Kuzi Cee and soulful R&B storyteller LATISHA at the legendary King Eddy for National Music Centre’s CIBC Summer Series on August 9.

About Kuzi Cee:

Zimbabwe born Canadian, Kuzi Cee moved around a lot while growing up; from London, New York, Pennsylvania, Toronto and then finally settled down with his family in Calgary, Alberta. You can hear all the different influences of where Kuzi Cee has lived in his sound. Kuzi combines Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Trap, Afro Beats, Amapiano and EDM into his music.

Kuzi has no formal training, his experience stems from growing up with an older sister who made him sing back up vocals as a child to her Mariah Carey covers. Some of Kuzi’s musical inspirations are Michael Jackson, Usher and Neyo, which is probably why he delivers such powerful, yet smooth vocals, similar to The Weeknd. Kuzi’s dynamic voice and stage presence instantly captivates audiences, which has brought him to 1.5M streams on Spotify and 40K YouTube views to date.

Kuzi’s live show brings the audience a nostalgic feel, with dancers, impressive vocal runs, and major crowd participation. His show touches on nostalgia, but his music is fresh and current, and as talented as a singer and performer Kuzi is, he is an equally impressive songwriter and producer.

Over the past year Kuzi has played multiple festivals like Soundtrack Festival, Calgary Stampede, and Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg Germany. Kuzi has also shared the stage with internationally renowned artists including Nelly, T.I., Ashanti, Mario, Michael Bublé, Roy Woods, and Jessie Reyez. With European touring plans for 2024, Kuzi is on his way to being Canada’s next major export.
