Sleepwreck with Kali Yuga and The Genesa Project and Metafloor

Shambala faves Sleepwreck, Kali Yuga, and Metafloor present a bold re-imagination of electronica at the King Eddy.
About Sleepwreck:
Sleepwreck is the sound of cyborgs dancing around a ritual bonfire. As primal as it is forward reaching, as organic as it is technological, this Music is electronic and it is alive. A live-electronic band helmed by innovative producer Jesse Selkirk, Sleepwreck presents a bold re-imagination of the genre of electronica.

Defying genre classification, Sleepwreck’s sound ranges from lush atmospheric textures, to hard hitting syncopated grooves, from heavy melodic basslines to otherworldly vocal melodies. In the studio Selkirk crafts shoe-gazing, emotional downtempo one minute and whomping tribal dance music the next. When taking to the stage the band dons face-painted alter-egos and highlights real-world instruments and voice against Selkirk’s phat, clean production.

About Kali Yuga & The Genesa Project
The Genesa Project is a duo of doers. Based out of Calgary, AB, Canada, their project encompasses a wide range of ideas and ventures, including local event promoting, stage design, music production, and video podcast hosting. Their project has snowballed since 2011, gaining momentum with opportunities to work with and perform at a number of western Canadian music festivals such as Astral Harvest, Motion Notion, Inshala, FozzyFest, and Shambhala. The pair strive to provide a different kind of sound to our local area; what many might consider to be “out of the box”. Their goal is to always have multiple live musical elements within each show, including live instrumentals, drums and vocals. You can expect a live performance to be high energy and interactive, engaging the audience through wild movement and ecstatic drive. The music they play moves them, and they want nothing more than to move along with the crowd!
