POSTPONED: Stingray Classical Live from the King Eddy: New Works Calgary

The King Eddy will be postponing all live performances until 2021, following the Government of Alberta’s enhanced public health measures. New dates are yet to be determined.

National Music Centre and New Works Calgary present a matinee of strange and mesmerizing strings as part of the hybrid live music and virtual concert series, Stingray Classical Live from the King Eddy.

The concert will include music from new Co-Artistic Directors of New Works Calgary, composers Rebecca Bruton and Lesley Hinger. As experimental art music sound-makers, Rebecca embraces a surrealistic folk music influence, and Lesley leans toward transformational forms and processes in sound and gesture, while they share a love for the delicate and the simple.

Also featured are the incredible talents of Lorna Tsai, Hojean Yoo, Jeremy Bauman, Danny Poceta, and Rebecca Bruton on voice and guitar.
