Christmas future dress code: Dress to impress and bring the sparkle – this is your time to shine, so don’t hold back on your most fabulous fits!
Drag superstar, artist, and Canada’s Drag Race alum Tynomi Banks, known for her dazzling, full-production performances, will be bringing her iconic energy to the stage, alongside top-tier Alberta queen LILITH FAIR, for a show that’s guaranteed to make your spirits bright.
With multiple dance floors and DJs serving up their best selections, partygoers should get their dancing shoes ready. House DJ and producer Joanna Magik and hip-hop titan DJ Pump will keep the dance floors alive, while keys player Chris Maric delivers a bevy of grooves in the chillout lounge. Plus, psychedelic electro space band Tendavillage will perform on the legendary King Eddy stage.
As far as defining a genre goes, Tendavillage floats comfortably somewhere in the realm of “Psychedelic Electro Space Funk/Soul /Jazz”. Based in Calgary AB, Canada, Tendavillage showcases a group of passionate, talented musicians ready to step outside of their creative box. Their introductory EP, praised as “Criminally slept on” and a “Future classic” by Toronto’s iLiveRadio, was featured on a host of radio stations and online platforms worldwide, including a stint on the iTunes RnB chart in France.
They have since amassed an enthusiastic fanbase across the globe. From the first release of their debut single “Ralph Wiggum”, a track Atwood Magazine described as “a song that exists on a plane of involuntary stank face”, the band has received rave reviews.
The driving force behind the group is singer/songwriter Kate Melvina, who pens and produces the works, alongside her main collaborator, jazz pianist Jacob Fossum. With their combined influences, from 70s funk and jazz masters to contemporary artists like nu-funk virtuosos Mononeon and KNOWER, Tendavillage contributes their own imaginative sound to the Contemporary RnB/Jazz world.
