About the Canadian Ska Orchestra:
Conceived in Jamaica , Ska is a mixture of Jazz, R&B, Rock & Roll and topped off with a Caribbean flare. It was Born in the 1950’s and cried on the jazz tradition of Using wind instruments along with a standard rhythm section. A precursor to Reggae and Rock Steady, Ska is one of the original island musical styles. Later it was picked by British Punk artists and 2 Tone ska came to be.

So what happens when a bunch of Canadian musicians who have a love for Reggae, Jazz and R&B get together? The Canadian Ska Orchestra is Born. Players from all over Canada have been brought together to create a unique island melody here in the Great White North.
