The Georgia Fats

Gritty, greasy, diesel-soaked blues. What else do you need to know? Catch The Georgia Fats at the King Eddy.

About The Georgia Fats:

What started out as an afternoon jam turned into a fill in gig, which evolved into a demo recording that turned into a five song EP. No punch ins, no over dubs, just live off the floor the way it was done a long time ago. Barry, Boyd and Joël have come together from three different genres and histories to create gritty, greasy, diesel soaked blues rock with a fat groove bio engineered to get people moving.

Joël Fafard is an award winning guitarist and Juno nominee and was once part of Scrüj MacDuhk. Barry Taylor is best known as the beat keeper for Roots Round Up and The Young Canadians and Boyd Norman has held down the bottom line for Ron Hynes, Barkin’ Kettle and the Rakish Angles.
