The Hope State with MILQ
Get your indie folk-pop fix with The Hope State and guests MILQ.
The Hope State was conceived in Los Angeles, California, born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and is currently being raised in Toronto, Ontario. Themes of love, death, addiction, loss and regret are at the forefront of Taylor Johnson’s writing. Painfully honest lyrics sung over somber melodies are present in every song The Hope State are able to belt out before collapsing. If you want to be emotionally drained, then completely fulfilled, I insist you find out where and when they are playing and run there as fast as you can.
Milq is an Edmonton based pop band following in the footsteps of genre-defining artists The 1975, LANY and The Japanese House. The three-piece outfit gained fast recognition after the release of their debut single ‘Stay’ in April of 2018. Since the release, the band has opened international acclaimed artists PVRIS, iamhill, New City and others.
Sound production equipment for the King Eddy is provided by PK Sound and Yamaha.
