Variations with The Egor Ukoloff Trio

Variations is a new jazz series kicking off at the King Eddy. We’re servin’ up stellar jazz tunes with a different Calgary talent every Tuesday night.

This week, we’re joined by The Egor Ukoloff Trio for an evening of jazz standards à la The Great American Song Book.

About Egor Ukoloff:
Originally from Russia, Egor has Masters in jazz after graduating from Rostov-on-Don Music College and Rostov-on-on State Conservatory as a jazz pianist. He toured Europe in the 80’s with his jazz ensemble while teaching in a college and in 1986 he won third place in the International Competition for the jazz pianists under 30yrs old in Poland. In 1989, Egor received a scholarship in the Banff School for the Arts and studied jazz with such greats as Dave Holland, Rufus Reed, Ted Dunbar and Steve Coleman.

Seating:
To accommodate as many live music fans as possible, we offer both seats and standing room at our shows. Seats are first come, first served. We recommend arriving early if you’d like to be seated during the performance.

Sound production equipment for the King Eddy is provided by PK Sound and Yamaha.
