Five-piece rock band Void Souls hits the legendary King Eddy stage with alt-rock trio Buns on June 5.

About Void Souls:

Based out of Calgary, Alberta, Void Souls is a five-piece rock band ready to captivate listeners with their fierce, hard-hitting instrumentals and dynamic, energetic vocals. Formed in 2o24 by lead vocalist Josh Evans, the band’s unique sound blends powerful rock elements with a raw, emotional intensity that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’re drawn to the killer riffs, the deep rumbling basslines, or the electrifying rhythms, Void Souls’ music grabs a hold of you from the first note and doesn’t let go.

The line up includes Nathan Febel on bass, Dan Matsuda and Kyle Johnson on guitars, and Julian Krizan on drums. Each member brings their own unique style and flavor to the band, creating a collective energy that is both infectious and unpredictable. Together, they’ve crafted a sound that reflects their passion for music and their desire to break boundaries, blending elements of hard rock, alternative, and even a touch of grunge into something all their own.

The band’s single “Into The Darkness” marked a major milestone in their journey and made a big splash on the airwaves. The song was picked up by major Canadian radio stations, including 94.9 The Rock (Toronto), CJAY 92 and X92.9 (Calgary), and 100.3 The Bear (Edmonton), among others. This national airplay has opened the door for new fans across the country and the band is eager to meet them head on with their electrifying live performances and a whole batch on new music planned for release in early 2026.

Fresh out of Calgary, Buns is the newest alt-rock jam band trio in town! Buns is a three-piece multi-genre music group that branches into any style but never settles on one. Each member brings their own musical influences and fuses them together. From light uplifting lyrical hooks to heavy mind-bending instrumental sections, Buns is sure to keep you entertained set after set with free-flowing improvisation. Buns vision is to show people that all ranges of style and writing can work together in unison to create a captivating experience without limitations.
