Calgary’s Young Neighbours run the gamut from spastic riff-rock to stripped-down piano ballads. Hear their new album Famous live at the Eddy.
About Young Neighbours:
Young Neighbours is a Calgary band lead by Eric Pauls. They have worked on a number of diverse projects including feature film scores, EPs and an LP. Young Neighbours has spent the last year recording their new album “Famous”, with Arran Fisher. “Famous” runs the gamut from spastic riff-rock, to stripped-down piano ballads, to ambient instrumentals and deals with the theme of acceptance of the past and questions about the future. Beatroute Magazine called their music “the perfect soundtrack for long walks in the snow”. Members are Eric Pauls, Sarah Houston, Noah Michael, Evan Freeman, and Cameron Clowe.
About Krill Williams:
Krill Williams is a fierce lineup of fresh femmes ready to take on the YYC scene.
With dreamy soundscapes, groovy bass lines and raw lyrics and vocals, this 5 piece explores a myriad of unknowns. Taking inspiration from indie bedroom rock bands like Coco Rosie, Snail Mail and Faith Healer, Krill is a medium that delves into questions and thoughts we often are afraid to address alone.
